Releases – January 2026

One of Australia’s greatest death metal bands, Depravity, return with a terrific new full length that not only upholds the standards of the previously highly acclaimed albums but also takes it forward. This is pure controlled chaos, fiery and devastating. Their music is a perfect blend of classic death metal, technical death metal, and brutal death metal. This is bound to be regarded as one of the best albums of the year where this style of music goes.TRACK LISTING1. Engulfed in Agony 04:442 ...

Drofnosura from Canada are a strange beast and they’re comfortable in their own iridescent, translucent skin. They have taken elements from multiple styles such as sludge, doom, black, and even post metal, finely ground them, and used the material to sculpt a new body entirely. The influences are not as distinct any more but the entity nonetheless is able to shape-shift and display the tendencies of those styles. The movement is whimsical, rhythmic, and elegant and the listener is left enraptured by it all. With ...

Dwelling Below are back with their mind-altering interpretation of dissonant, warped death/doom metal with a flair that only they are capable of doing. One would normally associate this style with music that’s fairly straightforward and nothing that would particularly accelerate one’s heartbeats save for the expected heaviness, but Dwelling Bellow’s music sets off all kinds of medical beeps and alarms with their unpredictable and erratic approach. The interdimensional trajectories shoot off in different directions as the mass of the music keeps stomping and marching menacingly, ...

After dropping a well-received death/doom album five years back, Felgrave has crafted an ingenious album melding influences of doom, black and death metal in a way rarely done before. The one-man band has broken the mould and the music on this album flows in an intuitive, undulating, almost whimsical manner, touching upon several styles and effortlessly shape shifting through them all. The songs are between 12 to 18 minutes long and each one seems to tell a tale of its own. There is so ...

Fleshbore have crafted a tech death album that is unrelenting from the get go. It’s packed to the brim with riffs and to make things overwhelming, they offer innumerable variations and deliver it with rare, staggering intensity. The vocals are straight up furious; the frontman delivers both hoarse growls and deep grunts in a rapid stuttering style, interspersing it all with raspy vocals to suit the constantly shifting moods of the album. The music has an inherent momentum, oscillating violently between the sped up technical ...

“Only a year after the release of their critically acclaimed “The Duality of Decapitation and Wisdom” album, Veilburner are returning with their eighth full-length album, titled “Longing for Triumph, Reeking of Tragedy.” In the spirit of striking while the iron is hot, this eighth evolution of the Veilburner story capitalizes on momentum while simultaneously achieving new heights in their song-crafting and story-telling. It leads their characters on a journey in which they cannot recognize triumph without tragedy, and sees them residing somewhere between the ...

With an illustrious lineup featuring members of Pyrrhon, Gravesend, Woe, Scarcity and more, one can safely presume that Glorious Depravity would know their way around extreme metal music. And they deliver in spades; they have come up with an album that showcases the best elements of death metal, even with its roots in the old school sound and the music tinged with thrash metal influences. In comparison to their debut, they have refined and upgraded their music and have left no stone unturned for ...

Crown of Madness have put out a slew of short-form releases, improving upon their sound with each one and culminating in this full length that sees the most evolved version of their music so far. As accomplished as it is, it also happens to be unique in the style of dissonant death metal – in that, it’s deeply personal and palpably emotive, and that poignant, introspective mood pervades their entire album. The music almost has a melodic albeit melancholic quality to it that ...

Ailise Blake, a former member of the bands J.C. Satan and La Secte du Futur, is a solo artist whose work has a mystical quality, characterised by what some refer to as “Spectral Folk” and is a blend of moody, dark and ethereal songwriting. The upcoming album follows her 2020 debut, “Songs From The Uncanny Valley”. Ailise Blake explains the deep, personal meaning behind the album’s title, “Soave”: “I titled this album “Soave” not only because of the sound of the word itself, which to my ...

The Mayan Factor: It’s the transfer of energy. Music creates change and taps into emotions. The energy connects with the listener in a special way and the listener sends their energy back to The Mayan Factor. This is how the circle works. Once you hear the music and the hairs on your arms and the back ofyour neck stand up, you get chills, now you are part of the Mayan Factor: we are all one. Something dark, something scary but full of light and ...

Two years after their second studio album “Veti e culti”, which marked their artistic evolution, Le Pietre dei Giganti close a circle with the release of the live album “Prima che il fuoco avvolga ogni cosa” (Live 2022 – 2023), If fire is an instant allegory for the music that blazes in concert, on the cover of “Prima che il fuoco avvolga ogni cosa” there is a burning idol, representing the conclusion of a phase and the beginning of a new one to come. The ...

SELVA OSCURA are Umberto Maria Giardini (vocals and guitar), Enrico Blanzieri (guitar), Michele Dallamagnana (bass) and Filippo Dallamagnana (drums). Born from a simple meeting at a summer rock music live, the project develops in the most classic of ways; joining forces and ideas in a rehearsal room behind strictly closed doors. The common idea is to play music with a vague hard flavor, precisely because of its non-placement with the times and fashions of recent years, with the aim therefore, to rediscover the magic lost ...
