Carnet De Voyage is a collaboration between contemporary pianist and composer Rosey Chan and
DJ/producer Mimi Xu – this is their 2019 debut album, produced by musician and film maker Mike
Figgis.
CDV have taken the blueprint of sequencer-driven electronica and constructed an album where stately
classical piano and icy synthscapes meet broken robot beats, gothic choral samples and French spoken
word vignettes. Avant-lounge merges into deadpan electro surrealism in a sophisticated amalgam mixing Miles Davis, A Certain Ratio, Pet Shop Boys, Chicks On Speed, Laurie Anderson and Grace Jones.
