Review: Let’s take out a cat from the bag, today I have something really heavy for you all. Let’s talk about Mordloch and its debut album. This band is located in Kolin, a small town near Prague… I find it very cool, that not only big cities can produce new bands. I think this band deserves better attention, and here is why…
Well, apart from the punchy first riffs, the first thing you hear is well-played fast drumming and good riffing. The tracks are damn tight and fast and the time changes are spot on. The vocals are the perfect blend of a low growl and roaring… bloody good work! Musically they are nothing new, but this solid mix of death metal and crust is impressive. The whole thing feels like a huge truck is going to hit you, haha! Deep and juicy sound is the main attribute of this album, in my opinion, of course. Hands up, the guys did their best, and I’m stoked to hear the new material!
