Description
SOLD OUT
Pressing of 250 – side A is an inside-out cut. Includes brown paper inner sleeve and A4 lyric insert.
Papernut Cambridge’s 2018 album takes its name from architect and inventor Richard Buckminster
Fuller’s preferred terminology for going up and down stairs i.e. outwards from the centre of the Earth
or towards it. Side A of the LP is cut to play from the centre outwards, while Side B plays from the
outside in.
Guests and contributors alongside the Papernut regulars on this one include ex-Spaceman 3 Sterling
Roswell, Denim/Go Kart Mozart’s Terry Miles, and Deerful’s Emma Winston “By turns catchy, intimate and beguiling…..like a C86 version of The Faces…a bedsit Bowie…” – Shindig! 2018
“Little vignettes evoking a time past, but never dwelling…… Cementing their place as treasures of the
British psych scene, Papernut Cambridge hit a home run with this excellent album.” – Echoes & Dust
2018
“Other worldly yet hummable, psychedelia without the psychedelic drugs, glam rock without the fear
of being beaten up….” – Pennyblack Music 2018.
