JaydeeQ is an electronic music project formed in 2025 following the collaboration between Salvatore Marano (synths and keyboards), Jacopo Trivero (synths and vocals) and Diego Lacaille (drum pads). The trio stands out for its unconventional approach: no DJ sets, but performances built exclusively around instruments played in real time, bringing the physical and performative aspects of electronic music back
to the forefront.
JaydeeQ’s sound traverses territories ranging from new rave to electro punk, from psytrance to EBM and IDM, right through to post-new wave, electro-industrial and krautrock influences. A layered sonic identity that combines clubbing energy with timbral exploration.
The project takes shape within Cime Sonore, a creative collective based in Val Varaita, and develops in the spaces of La Bucaniera, a hub dedicated to music production and artist residencies. It is here that the debut album was born, the result of twelve months of work between the studio and the club, due for release on 5 June 2026 via Overdub Recordings.
The debut single, “Alien Song”, available digitally from 31 March, features a collaboration with PirATK, who contributes synths and drum machines, further expanding the project’s sonic palette. Key influences include David Bowie (Low period), The Prodigy, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk, alongside classical references such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Luciano Berio.
The self-titled album presents itself as an eclectic and multi-layered work, a journey through the diverse facets of contemporary alternative electronic music. The record is characterised by a strong authorial voice. The common thread is the use of the voice, often processed and integrated into the mix as an additional synthetic instrument, and a constant tension between pop melody and sonic experimentation.
The production shifts effortlessly between moments of extreme crystalline clarity and passages of saturation and deliberate distortion. The influences lie within the realm of Indietronica, ranging from Dance-Punk energy, Industrial and Dark-Electro elements, to more experimental forays into Art-Pop and IDM, with an abstract and richly detailed sound design. The work follows an emotional journey that traverses more energetic and visceral phases, culminating in a more mature and reflective conclusion.
