Finnish band Lurk return with their unique brand of slow, dreamy, unpredictable and vile sludge/doom to confound and enthrall listeners all over again. Maere – …And The Universe Keeps Silent – 8-Panel Glow-In-The-Dark Effect Digipak
Enveloping the listener in darkness and thereby heightening the auditory perception, the music Mære create feels too personal and impactful, and lingers around in the human psyche longer than it should. The atmosphere in this pitch black, vacuum-like environment is all too palpable, nearly deafening even in its silence or the slower, ...

Morbid Evils – Supernaturals – Glow In The Dark CDD
Helmed by the Rotten Sound vocalist Keijo Niinimaa, Finnish band Morbid Evils give us their own dark, twisted and unbearably heavy interpretation of death/doom/sludge metal music which is both awe-inspiring and riveting. Muerto – Eclipsed Realms – 8-Panel Digipak
There is something about the rawness of emotions expressed in their pure, undiluted form and that’s probably what’s most appealing about this release. Against the backdrop of harrowing, plaintive music are the hollow echoes of an aggrieved, possessed-sounding woman, adding more malice to the music than anything possibly contrived. Over here is ...
