Description
Defaitism is a project born in late 2022 as the duo of Swedish‐based multi‐instrumentalist M. (most recently active as Tjaktjadalvve, among many other aliases) and UK vocalist/lyricist Jamie Burton. Taking off from the legacy left by bands such as Lifelover or Grey Waters / Autumn’s Dawn, Defaitism leaps even further into contaminating their DSBM roots with emotive indie‐rock melodies and mannerisms. The result is an album that is as catchy as it’s desperate, songs launched in a breathless run full of memorable hooks, riffs and refrains. No gimmicks, no hype, just the raw and timeless power of songs crafted with care and genuine emotion.
