After much Covid-related delay, Wild Heat are very pleased to announce details of “Hustle”, their highly-anticipated sophomore album. Recording began in May 2019 at Einstein Studios with legendary sound engineer Frankie McClay. “Filthy Love”, the first single from the album, was released in June 2019 as a Bandcamp exclusive and bundled with a B-side cover of “Slither” by Velvet Revolver.
The band returned to the studio in early 2020 to complete the album but Covid restrictions were imposed soon after. The title track, “Hustle”, was completed and released as a YouTube exclusive in December 2020. The Covid hiatus lasted more than half the life of the band (23 months of gigging followed by a 24 month break) but the album was finally completed in May 2022. Wild Heat vocalist Tommy Bell says that “Hustle is a step up for us as a band. We’ve refined our sound and improved the musicality, but we’ve kept the same formula of big shred-pop tunes with a few heavier tracks thrown in for good measure. If you liked the first album, you’re going to love this!”
