ormed in 2014 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, The Crawling deliver a suffocating blend of death and doom metal; heavy, deliberate, and consumed by despair. Guttural vocals and relentless rhythm carve out the band’s signature sound: slow, bleak, and brutally honest. Following the early releases Choking on Concrete (2015) and In Light of Dark Days, the debut album Anatomy of Loss (2017) marked The Crawling’s arrival on the international stage. Wolves and the Hideous White (2019) pushed further into emotional collapse, while 2024’s All of This for Nothing examined humanity’s futile need for acceptance against the certainty of extinction.
In November 2024, The Crawling performed a crushing hometown show in Belfast, an intense, career-defining set that captured the band’s bleak energy in full. The performance was recorded in its entirety and now forms the upcoming live release Live in Belfast MMXXIV, showcasing the band at their heaviest, rawest, and most sincere. Across a decade of relentless work, The Crawling have built a reputation for powerful, atmospheric performances, appearing at Inferno Metal Festival (Norway), Bloodstock Open Air (UK), Siege of Limerick (IRE), Metal Days (SLO), Shellshockfest (Malta), Uprising
(UK), Incineration Fest (UK), Mammothfest (UK), and Full Metal Mensa (GER), alongside tours with Winterfylleth, Gaerea, Shore of Null, and Carcass.
Backed by Grindscene Records, The Crawling continue to embody everything that makes doom and death metal matter: slow, heavy, and painfully human.
